Goring lock is the end and start point for several of our upriver cruises. An access point to the postcard villages of Goring on one bank and Streatley on the opposite side of the river. The lock itself marks the end of a tranquil and, in places, wide reach from Pangbourne. Approaching from either end of the lock there are great picture opportunities with stunning riverside properties and a wide weir. Leaving the lock heading upstream you enter the shortest reach on this section of the Thames with a mere hop-skip and jump to Cleeve Lock.
