About

Sail from Caversham to 'Down At The Abbey Festival'

On Saturday, September 11th we will have a unique and special sailing in support of the arts in Reading. Departing Caversham Pier at 10.00 we will navigate our way down the Thames and on to the Thames and Kennet canal arriving at Reading Abbey.

The trip

Explore The Waterways of Reading

From Caversham Pier we will cruise under Caversham and Reading bridges and pass through Caversham Lock. For part of the journey from here we will be joined by local expert Terry from Terry's Reading Walkabouts who will share stories about Reading as we turn to head up the Kennet and navigate Blakes lock before arriving in the Abbey Quarter. A truly unique cruise.

If you have any questions or queries about our cruises, please visit our FAQS page for further information.

*Terry's Reading Walkabouts supports local charities so if you have any loose change when onboard this would be gratefully received
