Caversham Lock

From our boarding point at Caversham Pier, you pass under 3 different bridges in quick succession before arriving at the relatively small Caversham Lock. The lock  leaves Reading centre behind,  heading downstream into the Dreadnought reach and towards Sonning. About 1/4 mile after leaving the lock, the River Kennet & Avon (which becomes a canal further upstream) splits off into the heart of Reading and towards the Abbey.
