Pangbourne is a village at one end of the Whitchurch Toll Bridge in Berkshire. A stop-off point for upriver cruises it has a large grass meadow by the side of the river, known as Pangbourne Meadows (you will find our boat stop sign marking the boarding and setting down point). From the riverbank, you can walk to the village centre with pubs and cafes as well as shops and a railway station. Winding through the back streets one arrives at the far side of the weir and the Swan at Pangbourne, a riverside pub and eatery. Pangbourne is linked to Mapledurham on the Berkshire bank by a riverside path.
Thanks to Advernture Dolphin and Pangbourne Parish Council this boarding point has been added to our cruises for certain upstream trips. There is a public car park at Adventure Dolphin but this can get busy so be prepared. You walk from Adveture Doplphin towards the river bank in to Pangbourne Meadows and by the river bank there is a Boat Stop sign. The best postcode for sat nav users is RG8 7DA. Access although relatively flat is over an open grass meadow.
